A full house at 9:30 Worship helps the children bless 60 beautiful quilts to go to kids affected by the flood.
The First Lutheran "Comfort-makers" crafted 60 snuggly, homemade blankets: one for each child attending the Camp Noah, a nationally recognized summer camp to help kids process going through a natural disaster such a flood. FLC is hosting the camp July 20-24. Space is available! For more information click here: http://www.kcrg.com/news/local/46864792.html
The comfort makers draped the colorful quilts over the backs of the pews during all worship services this weekend. At the 8, 9:30, & 11 AM services, kids placed their hands on the quilts to pray for the well-being of the children who would use them.
